Η πρώτη δημόσια εκδήλωση του Neo Cosmos έχει την πρόθεση να παρουσιάσει καλλιτεχνικές πρακτικές του δικτύου των ανθρώπων που σχετίζονται με το LUC. Τρία έργα σε αλληλεπίδραση σχολιάζουν καταστάσεις αντίθεσης και συνύπαρξης ψηλαφώντας το χώρο που δημιουργείται μέσα στην ένταση των φαινομενικά αντίθετων καταστάσεων (συν-)δημιουργίας.
The first open event of Neo Cosmos has the intention to present artistic practices by the network of people involved in it. Three works in interplay noting states of antithesis and coexistence, palpating the space generated amidst the tension of seemingly contrary states of co-creation and interdependence.

Το Pissa & Vresthenis είναι μία τοιχογραφία διπλής όψης στα παράθυρα και πρόσοψη του χώρου Neo Cosmos των [Κωστή Δαμουλάκη, Δόμνας Δεγαΐτα, Σοφοκλή Κουτσουρέλη, Παναγιώτη Λιανού και Πέγκυς Ζάλη]. Αξιοποιώντας τις δυνητικότητες και των δύο πλευρών της τζαμαρίας, και έχοντας ως αναφορά βανδαλιστικές και πρωτόγονες γραφές, το έργο στέκεται σε μία ρωγμή: “εντός” ενός -εν δυνάμει- πολιτιστικού κέντρου αλλά και “εκτός” του, στο δημόσιο χώρο.
Pissa & Vresthenis by [Kostis Damoulakis, Domna Degaita, Sofoklis Koutsourelis, Panayotis Lianos, Pegy Zali] is a double sided mural on windows and facade of Neo Cosmos. Referring to vandalism and primitive writings, the work stands in the cracks and harnesses the potentials of both sides: the “inside” of the cultural center to be and its “outside”, the public space of the neighborhood.

Στο ισόγειο παρουσιάζεται η παρέμβαση των Μαρία Φ. Nτολόρες & Σοφία Ντώνα, με τίτλο Το φάντασμα της Καλλιόπης ή αλλιώς το πρόβλημα της τουαλέτας. Η πρόταση τους για τον Neo Cosmos επικεντρώνεται στο αίτημα για προσβασιμότητα. «Γκρεμίζοντας τους τοίχους της υφιστάμενης τουαλέτας «ζητάμε να συμμετέχουμε, να διαλύσουμε, να ρίξουμε τις κατασκευές που αυτήν την στιγμή μας εμποδίζουν από το να συναντηθούμε, από το να δούμε πέρα από αυτές και να έχουμε πρόσβαση στους τόπους πίσω από τα τείχη του».
On the ground floor Maria F. Dolores & Sofia Dona’s site specific intervention titled The Ghost of Kalliopi or the problem with the toilet, focuses on accessibility. “By tearing down the walls of the existing toilet, “we want to take part, dismantle, tear down the structures that, right now, limits our ability to find each other, to see beyond it and to access the places that we know lie outside its walls”.

Στο υπόγειο παρουσιάζεται το βίντεο με τίτλο A Whole New Online Cosmos, ένα εικονικό τοπίο που ερευνά τις δυνατότητες του διαδικτυακού site-specificity της περιοχής του Νέου Κόσμου, των [Σοφοκλή Κουτσουρέλη, Παναγιώτη Λιανού και Πέγκυς Ζάλη]. «Χρησιμοποιώντας τη μηχανή διαδικτυακών παιχνιδιών sansar.com δημιουργήσαμε ένα ψηφιακό κόσμο που αποτελείται από ένα avatar, ένα τραπ μουσικό βίντεο και τρισδιάστατες σαρώσεις τοποθεσιών που αποτελούν σημεία έρευνας και αναφοράς για την ομάδα του LUC στη γειτονιά του Νέου Κόσμου».
The basement hosts the video titled A Whole New Online Cosmos by [Sofoklis Koutsourelis, Panayotis Lianos, Pegy Zali], a virtual landscape which explores the potentialities of online site-specificity of the Neos Kosmos area. By using the online game engine sansar.com we created a digital cosmos consisting of an avatar, a music video of a trap sound piece and 3D scans of specific sites in the neighborhood
related to LUC’s research and interest.
